Most everything we use, eat or wear has been - directly or indirectly - onboard  a ship at some point of time. Shipping has become the most energy-efficient way of transporting goods.   However, that does not mean it without its flaws!

 

The environmental impact of shipping include the potential spread aquatic invasive species, emissions to air including their climatic impact as well as the end-of-life management of the actual ship. These are topics we have worked with since our inception. Over the years we have gathered comprehensive knowledge on these topics. We founded InBallast as a vehicle to offer services within these areas with initial focus on ballast water. InBallast's focus is expanding and we are now involved with fouling prevention projects as well as projects on alternative fuels - electric fuels. Exiting times ahead!
